Kathleen Korniak Kmkorniak@aol.com Friend of Mother and Father 1726 Guilderland Ave Schenectady, NY 12306 USA You are Remembered With Deepest Love from your Parents I was fortunate to meet your mother and father. I was in charge of reading the names of the Vietnam Vets KIA from Schenectady on May 21st 2005. When You were KIA I remember hearing about it as I was a couple years behind you at Mont Pleasant High School, I didn't really know you except to say we must have passed by each other in the halls. Because a boy I dated was KIA I became involved in this flag raising ceremony and was given the privledge of honoring you and 26 others from Schenectady while a plaque was added to the existing monument honoring the Korean and Vietnam Vets by the Bellevue Preservation Association. It was a beautiful ceremony and your mother and father were there to accept your flag. What beautiful people. I spoke with them later and learned more about you. The be-be gun story was precious. Your mother said she wasn't sure who was the bigger kid you or your dad. A parents loss is hard. But to lose an only son, and only child I do not know how they can bear up too such a thing. But the joy you left if there hearts must be the answer. You are loved and missed and remembered with thanks for a life short but well lived. Sunday, May 22, 2005 |
