My "big brother"!!!!
Vernon was one of six siblings, three girls and three boys. He was the oldest son, born on our dad's birthday. He was a good son, a loyal friend and a great brother. Vernon is gone from our lives, but not from our hearts. I think about him often, with fond memories of our childhood and young adulthood together. Part of our family died with Vernon on February 11, 1971, but he will be in our hearts forever. I miss you, Vernon. God bless and keep you for the ultimate sacrifice you made for us.

Seems Like Yesterday
Seems like yesterday hunting squirrels at the farm. Seems like yesterday Uncle Zeb's hogs almost caught you and I for picking up one of the piglets. Seems like yesterday we were scuba diving in the lake. Seems like yesterday you left from the airport. Seems like yesterday you were taken from us. Seems like forever you have been gone. Rest in peace you and all others like you Little Brother Steve
