Childhood friends
PO BOX 60 Guilford ME 04443 United States
From 1946 -1952 we were almost inseparable playmates.
For about six years he was closer to me than my siblings. We cut our thumbs and pressed them together and became blood brothers. Many wonderful memories of the swimming hole at the Cambridge Reservoir.

Remembering you on Memorial Day-2012
I remember all the great times we had together and all the trips up and down Mass. Ave. How happy you were at your wedding. I am also a Vietnam vet and think often of how fortunate I was. Thank you my friend. RIP

1st Platoon Leader
Lt., Duffy, replaced me, than I replaced him, (what a shame)

I was, the 1st, Platoon Leader, from July, '67, to Sep., 17th, '67, when I was, wounded and went to Japan, to heal. Lt., Duffy, took over, my Platoon. Larry was killed, in Bu Dop, 2 1/2, miles, from Cambodian border. The unit, was called in, to protect, a Special Forces camp, from large enemy forces. The unit, came under attack and a large 122mm, rocket, hit the Platoon, Command bunker, killing Lt., DUFFY, James Snook and Willie Shegog. About a week later, I again, took over, the 1st, Platoon, as Lt., DUFFY's replacement. My heart goes out, to you, SIR. Our troops, both yours and mine, told me, you were, an EXCELLENT Leader and they liked you, very much. GOD BLESS YOU, Lt., DUFFY - KEN JENSEN

Though, you are gone, you will, never be forgotten! You and men like you, are the reason, we are free, today! I just wanted, to say THANK YOU, for the sacrifices, that you made! I hold you and those like you, in the highest regard and you deserve, nothing less! I love you, all, you were and always, will be HEROES, to me! I promise never, to take for granted, the freedoms I have, which you paid, the ultimate price, for! Happy Birthday! I, WILL REMEMBER YOU!!! Gratefully yours, Jenn.
