HONORING A YOUNG BRAVE MARINE HERO
THIS MAN HAS GIVEN OF HIMSELF EVERTHING HE COULD, SO THAT HIS BROTHER MARINES AND THE PEOPLE BACK HOME COULD LIVE A MORE PEACEFUL LIFE. THIS GIFT OF HIS LIFE SHOWS THE GREATNESS OF THIS HERO. HERO'S DON'T WEAR A CAPE OR MASK NO! THEY WEAR MARINE GREEN. HERO'S COME IN DIFFERENT SHAPE'S AND SIZE'S. AS EACH DAY PASSES,WE MUST TAKE THE TIME TO REMEMBER WHAT THIS HERO GAVE UP! SO THAT WE COULD LIVE IN A FREE SOCIETY. THANK YOU ! SEMPER FI! HERO YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN. DOSEN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE A 2YR, 3YR, 4YR, ENLISTMENT OR A DRAFTEE OR RESERVIST, OFFICER OR ENLISTED. YOU HAVE EARNED THE TITTLE OF UNITED STATES MARINE! A NATION CRIES OUT FOR THE LOSS OF ONE OF ITS SON'S.

Gone too soon
Rick and I were on the same trampoline team in Dallas. He was a great guy. Whenever the rest of us get together, we remember Rick.. He was gone way too soon.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

In My Heart and Always In My Soul
Richard even though you have been gone a while I still every year remember you by placing flowers on your grave and a flag by your name at the Vietnam Memorial at the State Fair in Dallas. You and Buddy were the best friends anyone could ask for.I wish I could have been there that dreadful day in April 1968, I would have told you that made us proud to be part of your short life, and I would have held your hand until the angels came for you. Love Always Terry (Hise) Ericson

RICK, WAS WOUNDED, PRIOR, TO THE EVACUATION. I VISITED, HIS PARENTS SHORTLY, AFTER MY ROTATION AND WENT, TO THE USMC., RESERVE CENTER, IN DALLAS, TO CLARIFY, THE RECORDS. RICK DESERVED, THE PURPLE HEART AND I REQUESTED, CONSIDERATION, OF A MEDAL, FOR HIS VALOR, ON HILL, 881. THE CO., AT THE USMCR., CENTER, STATED, THIS INFORMATION, WOULD BE FORWARDED AND HIS PARENTS, WOULD RECIEVE, RICK'S PURPLE HEART. I DOUBT, HIS PARENTS, EVER RECIEVED, RICK'S PURPLE HEART. HE HAD A BROTHER, NAMED "BUDDY," WHO WORKED, FOR THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE, IN DALLAS. (1968) I WONDER, IF ANYONE, KNOWS, THIS FAMILY? I WOULD LIKE, TO CONTACT THEM, TO FIND OUT, IF THIS HERO'S, FAMILY, RECIEVED, HIS POSTHUMOUS DECORATIONS?
