Dear Teddy...
Teddy Hisaw was my brother Marty's best friend when we were kids in Duarte, California. I had a secret crush on him, that wasn't really secret because everyone else apparently knew about it. He was such a sweet kid. Always teasing me. My brother is now in frail health and grieves over Teddy's death to this day. They were going to join the military together on the Buddy Program, but a serious injury kept my brother from being accepted. Teddy joined anyway. He was such a part of my childhood. Touching my hand to his name on The Wall in Washington, D.C. in 1985 brought back a flood of memories I cannot even begin to explain. Rest in peace, dear friend. You are not forgotten.

Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. ''He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother”. Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

I served with Teddy on his 1st. tour in 66.Teddy me and Allen Cowardin were best friends.I was wounded in Dec.and was eventually air lifted back to the states. In Nov. of 67 I was playing pool at Bremerton Navel Hosp.when I noticed the guy I was playing had a fatigue shirt on with Teds name on it? I asked him about it and he said he got it in Nam. He too was wounded.I didn't give it much thought,I assumbed it was some quirk? Cowardin had writen me shortly after I was wounded and said Teds dad had died in a car accident and that he'd gone home, since he was short on that tour I figured he'd made it? A couple of years ago the traveling wall came to Renton it was then that I found out Teddy was killed on his 2nd tour. Needless to say I was deeply saddened. Sincerly, Cpl.Russell Sherrick
