A fine man and exemplary Marine.
Ellis Lair and I served in Delta Company for a period of time. When I finished my tour, he assumed my position as Platoon Sergeant. I left the company at Vandergrift Combat base he and the rest of Delta went to Mutter's Ridge while I went to DaNang to out-process. He gave his life there on Mutter's Ridge, and I grieve for him to this day. Rest in peace, Marine.
