We're the same age...
You were born in June 1954, I was born in Aug 1954. You were in the Marines, I was in the Navy. I joined in Oct 1972 and was discharged in Oct 1975. Females did not serve in combat...so I served the where I was allowed to serve. I can't help but wonder what you would be doing now if you have lived. Please know your sacrifice was not in vain. You are remembered! I wear your POW/MIA bracelet with pride. Semper Fidelis!

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

May have gone to ITS with him.
Modesto, Ca. USA
I used to be on a road crew with a "Michael" Loney, prior to the start of ITS at Camp Pendelton in 1974, and I've been wondering all these years if this was the same man? I remember that he was from somewhere in the Carribean, but entered the Marine Corps from New York. He was very proud of the fact that he had graduated from Parris Island, had a sense of humor, and was a good guy.
