Semper fi, Steve
I haven't visited you at the wall yet, Steve. At this time of year, I think of you a lot. Your parents were friends of my parents. I was probably just a pest because I was a little kid at the time. I remember when your dad told us about you enlisting in the Marines. I answered the door the day we received that awful telegram. And years later, I met fellow veterans who were there with you at Quang Tri the day you died, remembered you, and described you to me. Part of the reason I enlisted in the Air Force was to honor your sacrifice, my friend. Semper fi.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother”. Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

Fellow Marine
Well done Marine rest in peace

THE TIME you won your town the race We chaired you through the market-place Man and boy stood cheering by, And home we brought you shoulder-high. To-day, the road all runners come, Shoulder-high we bring you home, And set you at your threshold down, Townsman of a stiller town. Smart lad, to slip betimes away From fields where glory does not stay And early though the laurel grows It withers quicker than the rose. Eyes the shady night has shut Cannot see the record cut, And silence sounds no worse than cheers After earth has stopped the ears: Now you will not swell the rout Of lads that wore their honours out, Runners whom renown outran And the name died before the man. So set, before its echoes fade, The fleet foot on the sill of shade, And hold to the low lintel up The still-defended challenge-cup. And round that early-laurelled head Will flock to gaze the strengthless dead, And find unwithered on its curls The garland briefer than a girl’s. A.E. Housman, "Don't be afraid, I've redeemed you.
I've called your name. You're mine.
Isaiah 43:1

Steve, I am a friend of Harley's, he told Mike and I alot about you this past weekend, not sure when he will come to visit, "Omaha Mike" and I will see you in less than 30 days. I to am a Marine, we were in Quang Tri at the same time , and it just so happens that I turned 20 on the 22nd of December 1967. We did not have the chance to meet in country, but you can rest easy Marine you will never be forgotten. You are one of the true Hero's. "Semper Fi" MARINE The Old SgtMaj
