SSGT Payne was a very good soldier and one of my squad leaders. I was transfered from his unit a week or two before his death. I'll always remember him. He served honorably! We did road building and mine sweeping, we had to mine sweep the road every morning before we worked on it. It was a very dangerous job. Nov 30, 2008
