Bob I remember you well and I know that God has a plan for all of us
Bob, I remember the morning you were getting on the bus going to Geiger and I shook your hand and I also knew that we could never have had this conversation due to the circumstances that I was your SDI and you were my recruit at that time but now is the time and the place. I also recall that I prayed that nothing would happen to you or any of the others as it did. I hated to see you go away as you were my 'kids' at that time as I really felt that way. I knew that there were chances that things might not work out the way I wanted them to but that God has a plan that is not what we want it to be for any of us. I am sorry that your family had to lose you at such a young age. I know they still think of you and love you. I love you for the sacrifice you made. I know that you are in Heaven. One day I will cross through the thin veil we call death and we will meet again and friends. Heavenly Father will greet us as Brothers there and Sisters in Christ. I love you Bob as only one Marine can love another Marine. Semper Fidelis. Your Friend Larry Ward

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother”. Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare)
May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

Although we never met, I know that you are loved and missed by many. You know how they say "Once a Marine - always a Marine, well that's true. We are both still in that family it's just that you are in a better place. Rest easy Marine, I'll take care of things down here. All gave some some gave all - - - One of The Few - - - Darby
