I went through basic training with this hero. I am an old man of 62 now but I often remember back to that hot summer of 1967 at Ft Polk and how young we all were. Rest in peace you man. You have not been forgotten.

Danny proudly served in the 2nd brigade, Co D, 1/501, 101st airborne infantry. He was in 2nd platoon, 2nd squad. His tour started on Jan 5, 1968 , two weeks after the second brigade left Ft Benning, Ga. We his family would like to hear from anyone who knew Danny, or who served with him in this tough outfit. He was a hero.
