May God bless your soul and be with your family. I did not know you, but I do honor you as a hero, a man who fought so that I could remain free in a world where so many do not have that priviledge. I read your son's writing here and I wish to convey my heartfelt sympathy to him and the other members of your family. Their sacrifices do not go unnoticed.

Hey Papa
I know my children, whom are growing and thriving under the blanket of freedom that you selflessly provided, will always know that their Grandpapa was a hero in the truest sense of the word. I wish for so much, but knowing you are at peace with him is enough. I look forward to meeting you one day as only men of God can know they will. So for now thank you for your life, thank you for my life, but mostly thank you for my childrens lives by paying the price that only the hero can pay.
