In the new book, "Rolling Thunder in a Gentle Land" this beautiful young man is pictured on page 196, I believe. As a historian and daughter of WWII naval veterans, I feel the loss of all Americans in foreign wars, past and present. What a tragedy at 19 to lose his life so young. John Wilson would be 60 next month, 9/25/07. He is not forgotten

In Remembrance of this Young Marine Hero, with a Multitude of Thanks for his Courage, Service and Dedication to our Country and for Freedom. Rest well Pfc. John Thomas Wilson and know that you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. Friend and fellow Marine
I remember John very well even though it has been over 30 years. He and I were together the day he died.I remember that he told me that he had been in some trouble and was given a choice of going into the Corps or else. He was a good Marine and did his best. He was honest and generous.God rest his soul.
