A wall is often a sign of might and strength
But this is not one such Wall
A wall is meant to make one feel unbreakable
But this is not one such Wall

This wall saps your feelings of fortitude
And brings you to your knees
This wall is a symbol of tears and sorrow
And brings you to your knees

Man often only remembers the leaders
This was built to remember the men
Man often sees only the numbers
This was built to remember the men

Tears flow openly
Upon this hallowed ground
Those who felt it, are proud
Upon this hallowed ground

Pride and Respect
are brought before this black granite
The souls of the lost
are brought before this black granite

The Stars and Stripes stand proud
As names are gleaming
The men who lived, recall the good and bad
As the names are gleaming

The lost and dead
Are not Forgotten
The veterans
Are not Forgotten

The Memory will live on
In names upon black granite
The symbol of Freedom's greatest price will endure
In the names upon black granite

In names upon black granite
We silently respect and shed a tear
In names upon black granite
