YOU SHOULD KNOW US
WHY EVERY YEAR WE RIDE
WHAT WE DID THEN
HOW WE DID IT WITH PRIDE
WE CAME BACK HOME
TO FIND LITTLE RESPECT
WHAT IS IT ABOUT US
THAT SOME STILL REJECT
YOU SHOULD KNOW US
AND RESPECT WE DESERVE
IT WAS FOR FREEDOM
WE WERE FORCED TO PRESERVE
SOME CAME HOME INJURED
SOME CAME HOME DEAD
NOW YOU KNOW WHY
YOU SLEEP SOUND IN YOUR BED
YOU SHOULD KNOW US
WHY CANíT YOU SEE
WE FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY
ITíS WHY YOU ARE FREE
SOME WERE DRAFTED
SOME OF US DIED
WE DID IT FOR YOU
WHERE IS YOUR PRIDE
YOU SHOULD KNOW US
SOME ARE STILL LIVING
IT WAS FOR OUR COUNTRY
AND WE ARE STILL GIVING
SOME OF US WERE K.I.A.
SOME P.O.W. OR LOST
SEE WHAT WE GAVE
LOOK WHAT THE WAR COST
YOU SHOULD KNOW US
AND THAT FORGOTTEN WAR
YOU DONíT EVEN REMEMBER
WHAT IT STOOD FOR
YOU SHOULD KNOW US
CAN YOU GUESS WHO WE ARE
WE ARE THE VETERANS
FROM THE VIETNAM WAR
WE RIDE EVERY YEAR
WITHOUT FAIL OR BLUNDER
WE ARE THE ONES
WE ARE ROLLING THUNDER

DEDICATED TO THE VIETNAM VETS AND THEIR FAMILIES. I WAS NOT EVEN BORN WHEN THIS WAR STARTED AND YET IF I CAN RESPECT WHAT YOU ALL DID THEN OTHERS SHOULD TOO. WAR IS HELL ATLEAST RESPECT THAT.
