WERE WE FORGOTTEN
IT’S BEEN SO MANY NOVEMBERS
BUT YOU CAN BE SURE
THAT OUR FAMILY REMEMBERS
SOME GOT LOST OVER HERE
WHERE DID EVERYONE GO
WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HOME
MANY YEARS AGO

WE STILL WANDER THE EARTH
OUR HOME WE CAN’T FIND
HOW MANY LIKE US
WERE WE LEFT BEHIND
WE WANT TO GO HOME
WE ARE SO FAR AWAY
GUESS THIS IS HOME NOW
WE ARE HERE TO STAY

WERE WE FORGOTTEN
CAN YOU NOT SEE
WE ARE LOST OVER HERE
WE WANT TO BE FREE
DON’T YOU REMEMBER
THE STRENGTH AND PRIDE
WE STAYED TOGETHER
IT WAS WRONG TO HIDE

WERE WE FORGOTTEN
DON’T YOU KNOW WHO WE ARE
A PHONE CALL ONE DAY
SENT US AWAY SO FAR
YOU DON’T REMEMBER
ONE DAY YOU WILL SEE
WE FOUGHT IN THE WAR
SO YOU COULD BE FREE

WE WERE CALLED TO DUTY
FOR OUR COUNTRY WE FOUGHT
YOU SHOULD FEEL ASHAMED
IF YOU FORGOT
HERE’S A REMINDER OF
WHAT WE DID FOR YOU
WE WERE SENT TO SAVE
THE RED, WHITE, AND BLUE

WERE WE FORGOTTEN
DO YOU KNOW US YET
WE KNOW OUR FAMILIES
WILL NEVER FORGET
YOU STILL DON’T REMEMBER
WHAT WE HAD DIED FOR
WE DIED FOR YOUR FREEDOM
IN THE VIETNAM WAR

This is dedicated to all who served in Vietnam with a special thanks
to the ones who never made it home. You are all in our prayers.
