DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF
CAPT. DENIS R. WEICHMAN
U.S. NAVY
RETIRED
03-11-35 TO 03-11-95
WINGS OF GOLD HE WORE ON HIS CHEST,
A NAVAL AVIATOR, HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST.
600 + MISSIONS HE FLEW OVER NAM,
THE MEDALS HE EARNED WERE SO AWESOME.
A FOLLOWER, A LEADER THIS MAN WAS HE,
A MAN AMONG MEN,
A HERO WAS HE.
MODEST AND HUMBLE THIS MAN I KNEW,
HE'D DO ANYTHING HE COULD TO ALWAYS HELP YOU.
A HERO WAS HE AS WE ALL COULD SEE,
IF WE COULD ALL BE JUST LIKE HE.
HE WAS STRONG AS AN OAK,
BUT GENTLE AS A BREEZE,
THIS BIG MAN WAS THERE ALWAYS TO PLEASE.
HE DIED ON THE SAME DAY AS HE WAS BORN,
LET'S NEVER FORGET THIS MAN WHO'S UNSCORNED.
AN IRON BIRD HE FLEW WITH PRECISION AND GRACE,
HE'S NOW EXCHANGED THEM FOR GOLDEN WINGS OF HOLY GRACE.
A SQUADRON OF ANGLES I HAVE NO DOUBT,
MY FRIEND DENNY NOW LEADS ABOUT.
