"Thanksgiving"
This was the last photograph taken on my 14 week 19,000 mile journey around the United States in 1987, and it may very well have been the best. It was early on a dreary Thanksgiving morning and naturally not many people were there. But these three anonymous veterans came together from who knows how far to say hello to their friend who had not been so fortunate. I didn't have a chance to focus and was only able to get one shot but I recall weeping after I had taken it and was so very thankful the moment was immortalized after developing the film.
