Patrick  Wright patnceli@bellsouth.net Fellow Veteran Texas Rest In Peace True Patriot I just saw the movie BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY for the first time in many years. The heart tugging story piqued my interest about the real story of the fellow Marine Ron Kovic thinks he killed in Vietnam. Obviously, there isn't a Venus, Georgia where the fictional Billy lived but the research adds up that the fellow Marine Sgt. Kovic killed might have been Charles Evan Beavers. Despite some fictional liberties taken in the film, I am certain the intention was never to degrade or misinterpret the supreme sacrifice that Charles Evan Beavers displayed in serving his fellow Marines and his country. God Bless warriors like Beavers who serve or have served in our armed forces and unselfishly sacrifice so that others can enjoy their freedoms. Sep 30, 2013 |

William Taylor A Fellow Veteran A Tribute to a true American Hero Do not stand at my grave and weep. I’am not there; I do not sleep. I’ am a thousand winds that blow, I’am the diamond glints on snow, I’am the sun on ripened grain, I’am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I’am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I'am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I’am not there; I did not die. (Mary Frye – 1932) Rest well, in Gods loving embrace brave solider. You Sir, are a True American Hero and are remembered by a grateful nation. Oct 16, 2008 |

The Marine Corps taught us discipline, endurance and the undying belief, in eternal brotherhood-you, are not forgotten. May you, rest in peace. Semper Fidelis! Lawrence H.
