I don't personally know Mr. Brady or even his family, but I believe that finding his name on the wall was no mere coincidence. My father's family has grown up in the same area in which he lived. So maybe they crossed paths at school, the grocery store, or even drove by each other in a car. So I am writing to thank Mr. Brady for his service. His sacrifice for his country shows an extreme amount of dedication and character. And I thank him for serving our country. -Requiescat in Pace

He's on the wall
I am writing a book of poetry on the boomer experience and wanted to include a poem about Mark. I found this website looking for the exact way he is listed on the wall. ********************************************* He’s on the wall fpmiller I remember Mark, whose first name was Edward, every year around the Fourth of July. He sat in the desk in front of me fourth grade, Saint Francis deSalles. We ate lunch at our desks. Mark always had a tuna sandwich cut into rectangles which he palmed behind straight fingers. Occasionally he’d share or bring an extra sandwich that he asked his mother to make for the orphanage boy who sat behind him. I left the orphanage and changed schools and didn’t see Mark again until high school. We lived in different ends of town. Never the same class. We were on the wresting team. We lifted weights together. Mark wanted to be a marine When we graduated I went to college. Mark joined the Marines. He’s on the wall.

Just a note in remembrance of the 40th anniversary of this man's death. Vietnam is ancient history to most, but to those of us who were there and to those that lost loved ones it is relived on a daily basis. I hope that his family has been able to find a measure of peace over the years. I will be going in to his hometown of Utica tomorrow. Would that it could be him going home for a visit. Thank you Marine.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!
