Joe, I missed the anniversary of your KIA (March 24) date, but I was fighting for my life from wounds I received the day The Glassman saved my life. I was angry enough that I was dying from the same wounds I received in ’68 that I refused to die. This is our day and I always remember. We are all proud or what you started with that letter you wrote to Linda, and she carries on today. Nyal and I will remember you today and tell our stories of you. You are always missed my brother.

For every life, there is a soul For every soul, there is a life For those who have died, we show great appreciation and remembrance For those who live, along with them live the horrific memories of battle Some, memories of defeat Some, memories of victory Our veterans were more than soldiers They were, and still are heroes ABU MY BROTHER

No one knew that God was going to call your name that day. In life we loved and respected you, in death we do the same. It hurt to lose you and you did not go alone. God called several of your brothers’ that day. You all left us with great memories your life is still my guide and though I cannot see you, you are always at my point man. May you rest in peace brother, everyday I feel your presence. ABU

We Served Together
Today I rose early to visit The Wall and spend time thinking of you as I remember your story. In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot. -Mark Twain. It is my honor to know you and to know your, as well as your, families sacrifices…It has been my privilage over the past fourty plus years to tell your story when ever I had an audience. It was an honor to serve with you. Breathe, trumpets, breathe Slow notes of saddest wailing - Sadly responsive peal, ye muffled drums Comrades, with downcast eyes And banners trailing Attend him home, - The youthful warrior comes…. With proud fond tears, By tinge of shame untainted, Bear him, and lay him Gently in his grave: Above the hero write, — The young, half sainted, — His country asked his life, His life he gave! William Taylor
A Fellow Veteran
I did not, have time, to build a family, I knew love. Such a wonderful feeling. I did not, fulfill, all my dreams. I knew brotherhood, with my comrades, in arms, Unforgettable. I lived, rare and hard times, Indescribable. Now laying, at eternal peace, I still visualize, ponder, smile and hum, my favorite tunes, but no one living, can see, or hear me. We are now, alone and we share in death, what united us, in life: Love for Freedom. Facing the stars, shining in the sky, as I have so often, done, before I will offer, another prayer, for world Peace.

May your spirit, always live on, in the hearts of those, you loved and those, who grew, to love you, for your ultimate sacrifice, courage and dedication.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!
