Our dead brothers still live for us and bid us think of life, not death-of life to which in their youth they lent the passion and joy of the spring. As I listen, the great chorus of life and joy begins again and amid the awful orchestra of seen and unseen powers and destinies of good and evil our trumpets sound once more a note of daring, hope and will. I see them now as once I saw them on this earth. They are the same bright figures that come also before your eyes and when I speak of those who were my brothers, the same words describe yours. Oliver Wendell Holmes

Thomas Spaeth snowride98@hotmail.com He was my uncle 720 Route 197 Woodstock, CT 06281 U.S.A This man was my mother's brother. When he died, my mother's family was totally davastated. They still haven't totally recovered. When I was born, my mother wanted he brother's legacy to live on, and so she named me, Tom. I do not know much about my uncle except the face that he was a war hero. He died trying to remove a bomb that would get in the way of a nearing regiment. I would like to have known him, for I heard he was a wonderful brother/son. Eventhought I never met him, I miss him. Monday, May 15, 2000
