Coins being left at the memorial
. . Contributed By Carly Brown On Monday, September 10, 2001
I recently visited the traveling wall memorial in Peoria, Illinois and looked up my nephew's name. I was very moved by the wall and felt a great kinship to the men on the wall as I was 18 in 1967. I noticed several people left 25 cents by certain names---can anyone tell me what the reason for this is? I know the other items, i.e. cigarettes, pictures, flowers, but was puzzled by the coins.
