Anyone who knew Cpl.George Allen Alford Jr. (Tex)

I am looking for those who served in Echo Co. 2nd.Bal. 5thReg. 3rd Platoon,1st Marines. My brother was a squad leader who was in Vietnam from June 25 thru July 31,1968 when he was KIA during operation Mameluke ThrustII in Quang Nam, they were engaged with VC defending a village near An Hoa. He was the only one killed that day at 6:30 p.m. He had also been in opp Houston I,II,III, near Thua Thien. Before Vietnam he was in the Marine det. on the U.S.S. Galveston,from Oct.1967-May 1968. "Daddy Rat" was the platoon sgt. in charge of the Recon. Plt., for the 1/14th 3rd of the 25th(later being transferred to the 4th ID. i have read that this DSC winner was KIA on his third or fourth tour. Can anyone out there confirm what unit he was serving with? Here is a non-com who taught a young medic alot about soldiering. He all ways had the upmost of respect from me and i would like to visit with SGT. Wick when i return to the wall again. thanks for your time and consideration. Doc Spulecki Golden Dragons 67/68

Bracelet Protocol: From MIA to KIA

What is the protocol with the bracelet if the service member on an MIA bracelet is now listed as KIA? I had heard that you should break the bracelet, is this true. I've been wearing it since 1988.

I'm looking for anyone who knew my brother George B. Pearson III. He was KIA on September 17 1966 in South Vietnam. I was only 6 when he died. Just trying to find out more about him. Really wish I could have spent more time with him. Any information will be greatly appreciated. He was with the 101st Airborne. I read a message from Raymond Capwell on my brother's page on the wall website who said he knew him, but I can't track him down. Does anyone know Raymond Capwell?Thanks.

I am looking for anyone who has any information about Frank John Smith. He served in Quang Nam was was kia October 02, 1968. He was Cap 2-7-2 CACO, 2-7 2ndCAG COMBINED ACTION, 3RD MAF. I am seeking information on how he died and possibly if anyone has a picture of him. He will be in my mind and heart for eternity. Thank you much.
