Type 2 Diabetes -- Agent Orange

If you are a Vietnam veteran and have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes you are considered by the VA to have a service connected disability related to exposure to Agent Orange and are entitled to free medical care related to your condition and also monthly disability compensation. It is estimated that 10% of 'Nam vets are afflicted with this condition and as the population ages the percentage will go up drastically. If you have not been tested do it now.

On July 14,1969 serving with Btrp.7/17 Cav. Infantry, Blues, we inserted into an area of NVA being in strength perhaps a company or more. The Blues having only 12 men came under extreme mortar and small arms fire,,,, I am looking for a Capt. Murphy that Im sure was plt.Ldr.,,, Maj.Scott Lyman,CO. of B trp. Any help I want too thankyou and may God be with you. On this day we lost our blues plt. to only 3 men. All were medivac to Camp Holloway,Pleiku.

Goodbye Buddies

Though I've looked for years I've never found you. Manuel, Charlie a few others. It would have been nice to say hi. You remain the most important people in my mind. The Doc says a few more months but he's being optimistic.Agent Orange they say but I don't think so. No chemical's gonna kill me. Just bad luck. I have only one regret, that I couldn't say see you one last time.
