NEVER FORGET!

I am of the Vietnam generation. I for one will Never Forget or will my children and grandchildren. Another thing we need to Never Forget is NEVER to treat Veterans of any war the way we, as a Nation, welcomed home the returning Vietnam Veterans. No flags were waving, no parades and not even a Thank You. Instead we welcomed those that did return with signs of protest, no flags waving, no parades, not even a Thank You, we just looked the other way. To all those that did return I say Stand Tall and be Proud for you all served well, and for those that paid the ultimate price and did not return may God keep you ever close. There was a song in the 1960's by Edwin Starr, entitled "WAR", and there is a lyric from that song that said, "War what is it good for, nothing, absolutely NOTHING.

Would like to hear from anyone who served with my brother, Billy. His tour of duty began on Oct. 1969 and he was KIA on Apr 30,1970. He was in Hotel Company, 1st Marine Division. Any memories would be appreciated.

CAN SOME ONE PLEASE START GETTING LINKS TO HIGH SCHOOLS. MY HIGH SCHOOL DID NOT HAVE A LIST OF OUR HEROES, THEREFORE, WHEN I VISITED THE DIGNITY MEMORIAL VIETNAM EXPERIENCE ON 11-18-05, I FOUND 1 HERO AND UNFORTUNATELY I KNOW THERE ARE MORE.

You should not be looking for just one or two heroes. Veterans of all wars should be considered heroes. All were heroes who return safely from that war and the 56,000 plus who paid the ultimate price were also heroes. There are also 2,500 plus MIA/POWs, they too are Heroes.You do not need a ribon or medal to be considered a Hero.

I served with 9th Motor Transport Bn. 3rd Marine Div., A Company. Nov. 1967 thru Oct. 68. Would like to hear from anyone that was serving at this same time in my unit. Clearnce Blackwelder and Jess Wright were good friends. Does anyone know how to contact them?

Honoring someone who served in the Vietnam War

My husbands uncle served in the war. He was killed in a car accident shortly after he came home. We feel he should have some mention, somewhere.but are not sure where to go to find this information. Could anyone help us?

I will look for it James. We Thank You and all the other vetrans of ALL wars and conflicts where in we lost our brothers and sisters who gave their all - whether or not those wars or conflicts ever were declared an "official" war. I think I can speak foe many others in wishing you all the best sir.

Thanksgiving 2005

Many of us are now preparing our Thanksgiving Dinner. Let us not for get those that are serving many thousands of miles away and cannot be with us. I am Thankful for one thing today and that is our FREEDOM! May God Bless all that are now serving and those that have served and those also that can no longer be with us, for without them we would not have FREEDOM! Please just say a silent Thank You today.
