To All The Vietnam Veterans

I am 21yrs. old and am a honorary member of the of the POW-MIA committee of michigan. I wear two POW-MIA bracelets on my wrists of witch I am very proud to wear. And I am a proud supporter of ALL our troops past& present. I talk on a regular basis to some vietnam veterans with whom I am friends with and everytime I do I learn more about them and the war they were in and the hell they went though. I pray for all of them. My intrust began in high school, in our goverment (history) class we were assigned a report to do on the Civil War, World War, World War 2, Korea, Vietnam ect. Well the young fellow next to me got Vietnam he stood up and told the teacher that he would not do it because it was about "babykillers" I stood up and grabed it from him and gave him mine I had had the first World War. My dad is a vet and I took very serious offence to the statement he made. So I went interviewed vet's, had guest speakers, pictures. All together I had a slide show ,5 guest speakers, and a 125pg report. And in the end my grade was an A. I also recived an aplolgy. So thats where my instrust and support began. and still goes on every day. And just recently I lost one of my very good friends his Spencer Acres, 30yrs. And it has been very hard to deal with for me and his buddies. last week they had his memorial and there was not a dry eye in the house. Even the speaker who was giving his speach could not hold back the tears. And it really hits home when you lose someone you have known most of your life. But lest we forget. His memorie lives on. We will miss him. And GOD BLESS ALL OUR TROOPS where ever you are . When freedom is jepordy I know you will be there to protect it.

Melissa , thank you for what you do, however the damage has been done. I could go on and on about the lies and the insults that are directed towards Vietnam Vets but it's a hopeless situation. I'm not sure if we really care anymore. Vietnam involved about 1 % of our population, even less probably .5 percent really experienced Vietnam. When I think about the heroism and sacrifice of Marines jumping on hand grenades to save their comrades and chopper pilots landing a medivac under withering fire I almost cry. This nation abandoned us and chose to believe a certain element of our population. I hope if this nation ever faces a huge peril, the deadbeats and liars are there to protect it.

Name: Jim Kelley Email: old.salty.@comcast.net News Looking for details surounding the death of Milton Larry Kelley on April 7, 1969. Larry was serving with the 173d airborne in vietnam. From what I have learned to date, 10 other of his comrades from the 173d were also listed as KIA in the same province of lam dong and on the same day 4/7/69. I am looking for any veteran who knew CWO Jack W. Brunson who went missing May 31st 1971 and was finally found and is laying in honor with those at Arlington. Also to those of the 1st Cav Div in 1965 at Ia Drang who remember a medic named Terry Fowler. He is my brotyher and he passed away the day before Thanksgiving of this year shortly after receiving his disability approval from the VA. He was proud of his division and rightly so. DRAFTED DURING THE VIETNAM WAR

AFTER I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOLIWAS CLASSIIED 1A FOR BEING DRAFTED INTO THE ARMY AND MOST LIKELY ENDING UP IN VIETNAM BY SOME FAITH I WAS RECLASSIFIED AND LATER JOINED THE US NAVYSERVING IN THE ATLANTIC FLEET I KNOW TWO PEOPLE ON THE WALL FROM MY NEIGHBORHOOD ONE OF WHICH WAS APRISIONER OF WAR IN VIETNAM AND WON THE MEDAL OF HONOR COLONEL DONALD COOK BORN IN BROOKLYN NEW YORK GOD BLESS ALL THE VETERANS

my brother was killed on July, 21,1967, two weeks before his 21st birthday. he was United States army "L"troop 11 cal. did you know him? if so will you contact me please.
