Looking for Bob Wagner was with the 73rd Engineer Co in Vietnam "66" and transfer to the 179th ASC as a door gunner. He was from Chicago Ill.

Buddy and I were in the Marines at the same time but we did not serve together. We were boyhood friends as our Dads' farms boardered each other. We even got out about the same time. He came home from Vietnam shortly before I did. He got out in August and I got out in September. As things usually do we were busy and kept meaning to get together. In October he died as many who returned did in their first year back. He was not on the Wall but he was a casualty of Vietnam. I have never forgiven myself for being too busy to see him. Perhaps I could have saved him. Not a day goes by I do not think of him. God I hate war.

hello, im 13 years old and im trying to do a report on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in D.C. i have questions that need to be answered for a grade, but i also have answers just for my own use. my dad was in the Vietnam War although i wasnt alive yet he has told me about it many times. i am very interested in this particular war and have chosen it many times before as an assignment. it is a most interesting time in our history, so if you couls help me out with this. any stories wouls be awsome or maybe pictures(only if you mind). thank you so much for listening. I am writing a short story and need to know what the weather was like when the Viet Nam Memorial was dedicated on Nov. 13, 1982. Did you go to that? Was it cold, rainy? bright? Warm? Cloudy? I remember seeing it on t.v. and it seemed people were walking past in large numbers and in the evenings all had small candles, but the line stayed long. Can you help me?
