Is thier anyone who was in Nam that knew my brother WO1 Alan Brian Partridge who died 1/31/70 as co-pilot of a helicopter (cobra)? I saw on another web page a message about him from someone call The Fizz. Thanks

I am looking for those that served with my Hero, my big brother Carl Konopa, his tour of duty started on Sept 25 1966 and he died May 13th 1967. I was 4 1/2 when I lost him and have missed him and all that we should have shared all these years. Though my memories are few they are preciouse I would like to have others share what they knew of him with me.

On Feb 8, 1968, near Lang Vei, South Vietnam, a USAF A1E Skyraider piloted by Maj Robert Lapham scored a direct hit on an NVA tank attacking US ground forces. During this action, his aircraft was hit by ground fire and went down, reslulting in the loss of Maj Lapham. I am his stepson, and I am trying to locate a veteran who was on the ground in that area and might remember this scenario.

After 30 plus years my brother, you are still sadly missed by your family. I want you to know that there are people out here that love you still and think of you each and every day. I'd also like to thank Ray Funderburk and especially Gabriel Dobos for finding your Purple Heart and returning it, this means alot to us all.Thank you. I AM LOOKING FOR MICHAEL LAUREY. HE WAS STATIONED AT FT ORD CALIFORNIA IN THE SUMMER OF 1966 AND THEN WENT TO FT RILEY KANSAS. HE WAS TO LEAVE FOR VIET NAM DECEMBER 1966 FROM FT RILEY. IF ANY ONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT HIM I WOULD APPRECIATE A RESPONSE.

Yes his name should be added to the Wall also, for they died in Vietnam it just too them a lot longer to fall." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Witt, I'm very sorry for you and your husband. Unfortunately, he was hit with a double whammy. Recent studies have not only shown that Agent Orangre increases the likelyhood of various cancers etc by many hundred percent but other studies done abroad show a direct link between combat, PTSD and higher rates of cancer and other diseases. The exact linkage is not known yet however it has been shown that combat permanently lowers cortisol levels and confounds the whole endocrine system including the immune system.
