LOOKING FOR ANYONE WHO KNEW LEE CHESTER ADAMS, 2BATALLION 9MARINES GULF DIVISION. HE WAS KILLED APRIL 19, 1968, IN QUANG TRI, VIETNAM. HE WAS FROM MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN. HE ATTENDED WEST DIVISION HIGH SCHOOL ANS PARTICIPATED IN THE UPWARD BOUND PROGRAM AT UW-WHITEWATER. HE WAS MY FIRST LOVE AND I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM. HE IS ALWAYS IN MY HEART. I'VE OFTEN WONDERED HOW HE DIED IN VIETNAM. TODAY WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I'VE SEEN HIS NAME FROM THE WALL AND IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES REMEMBERING HIM BEING IN A WAR AND WONDERING HOW HE DIED. ONE DAY I SHALL MEET HIM AGAIN. HE DIED NINE DAYS AFTER MY 17TH BIRTHDAY, AND WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED. THE WONDER OF WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN HAD THERE BEEN NO VIETNAM WILL ALWAYS BE WITH ME. HE WAS ONLY 20 YEARS OLD. HIS LIFE WAS JUST BEGINNING.

If anyone knew Raymond, and particularly if anyone knows how to reach his family, I grew up with Raymond throughout childhood and I remember him to this day. He died at age 21, a hero, but leaving a life unlived. His bravery and sacrifice can never be forgotten.

Thank you. I'm a college student who knew of Vietnam, but never truly learned about Vietnam until very recently. Thank you all who made the ultimate sacrifice, and to those who were blessed enough to come home. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you did and all that you endured. Peace and healing to you and your families

Jose Travieso

My husband's father served in Vietnam in December 1967. He wasn't there very long when he was MIA.My husband was born January 9th, 1968. His father was found February 6th, 1968.They never got to meet each other. The only military information I have on him is from his tombstone. It says, Jose A Travieso, PFC Co A1 BN, 22 Inf 4 Inf Div, Vietnam, May 15,1946-February 6,1968 and on the very bottom it says PH. If you knew him we'd appreciate any info. Also, what do all the letters signify, including the PH? Thanks so much.
