Willard Franklin Morelock

I am looking for anyone who served with my dad Willard Franklin Morelock. I know he was killed in Quang Tri, South Vietnam on Sept. 24, 1968. He was a SSGT, E6 in the Marine Corps. and was from Kingsport,Tennessee. I was only 7 years of age when he died and he was my whole world and I still to this day miss him terribly. Being so young, details were not talked about where my sisters and I could hear, so I have always had so many questions that I feel the need to have answers to. As I grew up, my dad's memory was kept completely alive but it became habit to not discuss events of his death with us kids. My mother passed away almost 4 years ago and along with her went any chance of ever getting the answers I need. If anyone can contact me with any memories or details please do. I would welcome any opportunity to finally have some closure of my own and to know the man I have considered my Hero for 37 years and to finally know the people he considered his family and friends. I do have some memories of paris Island, S.C. and attending the graduations there. Please if you can tell me anything at all about those days at Parris Island or anywhere else he was stationed, (I know he was stationed in Georgia and California and Hawaii throughout his service).Even if you know anything of him from his service in Viet Nam, please contact me. I do know my dad considered the Marine Corps. his family and therefore you are my family also. I will always display nothing but pride and Honor for each and every American soldier past or present. As a Nam Vet, I have some outstanding new's for all Nam Vet's. I have just read in the VFW magazine that after all these many year's, 13 more of out brother's have been found. They are finally HOME to their families, even though they made it Home many year's ago. And thank God, he has given closure to the familie's who have prayed so hard for this moment to come. I will not list the name's out of the highest and utmost respect and honor for all the familie's, but for those of you who receive the VFW magazine, the name's are listed on page 10

please help me find any info on my grandfather James Perry Lanier. I would really love to hear any info you may have. He was in the 101st Airborne Division. Specialist 4 who served with the 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division "The Screaming Eagles" Date he died was january 31, 1967

Vietnam Baby looking for Biological Father

I am looking for a man named Mike Kulisek, not sure if the last name is smelled exactly like Kulisek, however, he was stationed at Ft. Wolters, TX in 67-68. He dated a Sandy Reed. He is from the east coast and is Italian. He was supposedly in training for Helicopter Pilot. My Biological mother gave me up for adoption at birth and she claims that her roommates boyfriend, name unknown, was best friends with my father. It seems as though during Vietnam, their were a lot of children given up for adoption. We are curious about our fathers, were they killed in action, are they alive, do we look like them etc.I hope that someday I could be reunited with my biological father, so meet him and to see if I resemble him. Also, I need to know some medical history on his family for my son. If you know him please let me know.

Please share your experience with the wall. How did you feel when you approached the wall? Overwhelmed? Nostalgic? Calm? Upset? etc. What did you think about? Did you like the memorial or did you think it was too stark? The Vietnam War was very controversial for many reasons. Has visiting the memorial effected your experience with or opinion of the Vietnam War? Has it offered closure? Any input at all would be extremely helpful. Thanks so much! Here at the break of days new dawning, I come much like Mary to visit the empty tomb. I come not with spices, but with my heart wanting to speak to you once again. Today I come to meet with my brother, my best friend. I know deep within me that we are still kindred in spirit, together and yet apart. We have shared the days of our childhood and we have felt the sting of death. Yet, for all of this, nothing can really ever separate usànot even a broken heart. hi if there is anyone out there that knew my great uncle, i would really love to hear from you i never got a chance to meet him, he was a tsgt in the air firce, born feb 10 1933, he died in lamdond s. vietnam, he was in the c-130 when it was shot down from the sky, he was an e-5, he died on sept 6 1968, please if anyone knew him or was in the air force with him please contact me, i would really like to know what you have to say about him, thank you.
