Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

I was, in his squad

I remember, Dennis Antoine
I had been, in Dennis's squad and was also, part time company, radio man. Our squad was, on patrol the day before, he was killed. We had done some serious, hill humping and I tore, a toenail loose and couldn't, wear boots and therefore was, on light duty, the following day. As I recall, some engineers, got ambushed and called, for help. My squad, went out and then called, for help and my platoon, went out and called, for help. This turned, the whole company, loose and I taped, up my toe, the best I, could and joined them. Dennis and most, of his squad, including my best buddy, Ocie Cooley and other very good friends, were killed. Dennis loved, the Marine Corps. I'am sure, he would have, re-upped and become a lifer. He went, by the book and was always, the most, squared away.

It was, my privilege and heartache, to view the Vietnam, Veteran's, Memorial Wall, in Washington, DC., this past weekend. The emotions, were incredible and although, we never had the chance, to know one, another, in life. I want, to honor and thank you, for your dedication and supreme, sacrifice. Rest, in heavenly peace, brave soldier and know, you are not, forgotten and never, will be.
