You Made the World a Brighter Place - 'I Remember'

Our life goes on but still the vacant chair... Recalls the love, the voice, the smile... Of the one who once sat there.

Memorial Day 2013
Sgt Dickinson: Today is Memorial Day 2013. Thinking of you and others who gave all for their country. It is now 40 years since the ceasefire and 38 since the fall of Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City). I wrote on your page some years ago to acknowledge you and the efforts of your sister, Garnet. She tried to visit so many sites of others who are unvisited and perhaps forgotten. Of course she never forgets you. I don't visit the Wall so much anymore except to acknowledge some close friends who never came home, so I don't know if Garnet still visits so many sites. But she has paid tribute to you and so many others over the years. My great respect to you and to your sister.

Not Forgotten
David there isn't a day that goes by that your wonderful sister doesn't think of you and miss you. The world is a much brighter place with her in it but I'm sure it would be even brighter if you were still here. Thank you so much. We are so grateful to you. Rest Well HERO !!!

Gone but not forgotten !
The tears have mostly dried, save the quiet moments alone. Pain and sorrow never end, of unfulfilled dreams, and of love never ending. Forty four years ago today, was not that long ago it was yesterday, for time has stood still for so long, gone but never forgotten! God Bless this fallen hero for the sacrifice he made for us all! God be with his sister (Garnet) who is an Angel, giving comfort to so many that have lost loved ones, here on The Wall! eugene van winkle
