Harry  Harigan harryhartigan47@gmail.com Twin Brother 4720 Minnehaha Avenue Minneapolis MN 55406 United States Time Marches On Tears Remain 45 years have passed and times have changed but the price of war, any war, is extremely great and painful. Tears still come and no one will ever know how deeply your death has impacted me. I was your military escort and that was the hardest things I have ever done in my life. The clock is ticking down and before long we will be united once again as The Twins. I know your spirit is with me daily as is mom's spirit. I better understand today what I didn't totally understand 45 years ago. Nov 7, 2013 |

43 years have passed since you were killed in Nam. Millie and I talked tonight and it certainly doesn't seem like that much time has passed. The events of that time live on in our hearts and memories. You are truly a Hero and your courage will never be forgotten. Spring is coming and the garden will be improved in memory of you. Harry  Hartigan Brother 42 Years Dear Larry,
42 years ago you were killed while serving you country in Nam. You and I were very young sailors who served proudly and bravely. Life changed for the family the day you were killed. Nothing was ever the same. We have gone on but you have never been forgotten. You guard us now as we move in this world and I feel your presence each and everyday. It is said that time heals but that doesn't really seem to be the case. I often wonder what life would be like for you today maybe you are truly in a better place. My only prayer is that God loves surrounds you and all of the family who have gone before you and after.
You will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Harry
P.S. This Wall is certainly a way to honor you and remember. Feb 22, 2011 |

Harry  Hartigan hah47@aol.com Twin Brother 4720 Minnehaha Ave Minneapolis MN 55406 USA Memorial Day 2010 - Remembering All Our Men and Women Dear Larry,
Today the country slows the hectic pace of day to day living to remember all the men and women who have served our country. With two wars currently being fought and the after math of 911 these heroes are receiving the honor and respect they deserve. Times they are changing, which is good and hopefully our world will become a better world with love and understanding of all people. We are all God's people and deserve to live as God truly wants us to. My gardens (St. Francis and St. Anthony)are dedicated to you and all you loved.
Rest in Peace. May 31, 2010 |

Harry  Hartigan hah47@aol.com Twin Brother 4720 Minnehaha Ave Minneapolis MN 55406 USA The Twins Dear Larry,
Soon it will be 41 years since you were killed in Viet Nam and no one will every know how painful and lonely those years have been for me. You were my best friend growing up and as Dad's poem said 'so very much alike since their days of scooters and bikes'. I was your military escort home and that was the hardest assignment I ever had in my military career. I stood watch at your wake from morning till night and did all that I could to ease the pain of the family. The family was never the same after your death.
I honored you by naming my son Larry Anthony and each and everyday I think of you with love and wonder. November 28th is our day, Christmas and Thanksgiving and Memorial Day and Veterans Day all keep your memory alive for me.
Recently a wonderful man that I work with gave me a gift when he found out that I lost you in Nam. His name is Gary Summerville ( a Marine) and his gift will create a memory box for the future. His gift is a beautiful quilt that states 'Land of the Free Because of the Brave' and you certainly proved that.
Lar I will always love you and the tears will not stop until we are joined together again.
Love,
Harry
