PETER
Peter, I just wanted to post a short note on the wall for you. I have been in touch with one of your Marine Buddies, Brad Harvey who served in Nam with you. I was fortionate enough to have been contacted by Brads wife, and as a result I had a phone conversation with Brad. I was not surpirsed at all with the strong connection and respect that Brad had for you, and he told me of his times together with you, and for that I am thankful to know of another Marine who touched your life. Brads wife Donna ahs asked that I try to contact members of your family, but as of this writing, I have still been unable to reach any of your brothers or sisters. Although I will keep trying, I want you to know that your memory is still very much alive. Rest in peace my BEST FRIEND.. Peter Martin

Lost but never forgotten
Pete, much time has passed since your death so long ago. I am sure that many of your family and friends are also gone but I am still here and will always remember you as my friend and a patriot.

A Much Loved Marine
Peter you are still a much loved Marine. I hear about you very often and I know Brad probably thinks of you even more than he mentions you. You will always live in his heart and mind. Brad had been cycled home when you gave your life of this country. Rest in Peace, dear one!

Thinking of You........
Peter, I saw and hugged you a week before you were sent to Vietnam. I remember our talk and how I told you that you would be O.K. I've thought about our conversation often over the last 45 years. We had our 45th class reunion this year and you were the first person I thought of. You were always one of sweetest, nicest boys I knew. You are a true Hero who will always be missed. I'm coming to Washington D.C. in June 2012 and plan to take a rubbing of your name to keep in our Yearbook. Love Marlene

Rest in peace and always be remembered
Pete and I were childhood friends in Oceanside, New York. I left Oceanside in my junior year of high school. I lost touch with many friends including Pete. I was not sure of his fate until today. Pete was a great guy to hang out with as kids and I am so sorry for his loss.I will always remember and respect his ultimate sacrifice for his friends and country. May he rest in peace and may his family always be proud of his service. Let all Americans recognize our Veteran's, living and lost. I will never forget Pete.

PETER, I WANTED TO STOP IN AND POST A NOTE, IT HAS BEEN 41 YEARS ON 10/17 SINCE THAT TERRIBLE DAY WE LOST YOU, AND YOUR MEMORY AND FRIENDSHIP REMAINS WITH ME FOREVER. EACH YEAR, I GAIN A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION AS TO WHERE YOU WERE AND WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU. YOU GAVE YOUR LIFE FOR OUR COUNTRY, AND I AM PROUD TO HAVE BEEN YOUR FRIEND. IM SURE YOU KNOW VIETNAM WAS NOT THE LAST WAR WE HAVE FOUGHT, AND STORNG PROUD MEN CONTINUE TO SHED THEIR BLOOD FOR THE SAME BELIEF YOU HAD 'FREEDOM'.I CANT BELIEVE YOU HAVE BEEN GONE ALL THIS TIME, I THINK OF YOU EVERY DAY. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA SEMPER FI PETE
