Lane  Post lane@arrowpipeline.com Fellow boots, MCRD 1968 2648 Obelisco Place Carlsbad CA 92009 USA Ruben and I went through boot camp together starting September 1968. Alphabetically, we were next to each other so we spent some time together. Ruben was a good man and a better Marine. I was lucky to survive my tour in Viet Nam, Ruben did not......how do you figure this stuff?? I'd be interested in corresponding with other Marines from MCRD Platoon 3073. Rest in Peace my brother. He watched over me and the men I went to treat. He was at my side when all hell was breaking loose. When I exposed myself to hostile fire, I did so knowing that Ruben had me covered and I always felt safe. His smile and laugh brightened the darkest times. He was MY FRIEND, courageous, strong, yet a heart of gold. When I think Marine.....It is Ruben I picture....I miss you My Brother, you will never be forgotten by this Man.
