Always thinking of you Dave. You were the best guy on the corner. Never had a fight or argument. I remember that last night I saw you off as if it were yesterday. I hope to see you again buddy. Murph

In Humble Tribute and with Profound Thanks, for this Young Marine's Courage, Service and Dedication to our Country and for Freedom. Rest in Peace and know that you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. I am the sister of Sgt David Dickinson, another young Hero, who made the Supreme Sacrifice in Vietnam 1967.....REST YOUR HEAD NOW, WEARY WARRIOR. CAST YOUR WEAPONS TO THE GROUND. CLOSE YOUR EYES AND FEEL THE PEACE, THE LIGHT OF JESUS FOLD AROUND. HEED NOT OUR EARTHLY BATTLE CRIES, THERE IS NO POST FOR YOU TO STAND, SO REST NOW AS HE CARRIES YOU WITHIN HIS LOVING HAND. DO NOT LOOK BACK UPON US, DISREGARD OUR SELFISH TEARS, WALK IN THE SUNLIGHT OF THE SPIRIT, FREE OF WAR OR PAIN AND FEAR. YOUR DUTY HERE IS DONE NOW, AS OURS WILL SOMEDAY BE, SO GO HIM NOW TO PLACES ONLY HEROES SEE. ~Author Unknown~

I grew up with you and your brothers down the street in Scranton. I played Little League with you and brothers. I knew you were killed in Nam, but never truly knew the circumstances until now. After searching for and finding your name on the wall and these pages, I found info on the Hill 861 battle, and what happened in those days. Such a young good life snuffed. Such hell you and your fellow marines went through. God Bless you, and your family who still grieve. I will visit your name and the wall in September 2010, and have my own private time to remember.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother”. Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

Fellow  Marine
Well done Marine rest in peace
THE TIME you won your town the race We chaired you through the market-place Man and boy stood cheering by, And home we brought you shoulder-high. To-day, the road all runners come, Shoulder-high we bring you home, And set you at your threshold down, Townsman of a stiller town. Smart lad, to slip betimes away From fields where glory does not stay And early though the laurel grows It withers quicker than the rose. Eyes the shady night has shut Cannot see the record cut, And silence sounds no worse than cheers After earth has stopped the ears: Now you will not swell the rout Of lads that wore their honours out, Runners whom renown outran And the name died before the man. So set, before its echoes fade, The fleet foot on the sill of shade, And hold to the low lintel up The still-defended challenge-cup. And round that early-laurelled head Will flock to gaze the strengthless dead, And find unwithered on its curls The garland briefer than a girl’s. A.E. Housman, "Don't be afraid, I've redeemed you.
I've called your name. You're mine.
