Never Lived a Better United States Marine
My actual brother and I went through Boot Camp with Bill at beautiful Parris Island by the sea in the summer of 1966. PI was the hottest place ever created by the good Lord, but Bill seemed to take it in stride. When the rest of us were 'sucking wind', Bill wanted to go another lap round the field. Uniform always squared away, bunk tighter than any other in the platoon Bill really wanted to be a Marine. It really hurt to hear of Bill's death after all these years. Semper Fi, Brother.

LCPL SHAW and I were in Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines together on Operation Union/Beaver Cage in the Que Son Valley. We were on a small Hill with large Rocks, when HIT by Mortars. LCPL Shaw met his fate, and Charlie Company sustained 3-KIA and 10-WIA that day. Hope YOU continue to RIP. Don B C/1/3 67-68. (I am the Web master at www.onethreemarines.com , and we have information there about Our Battalion with some History of Vietnam there. Also, there is a list of the MEN who served in Charlie Company incase you might know or looking for a Marine from C/1/3. Know WE in C/1/3, DO REMEMBER Our Brothers on this WALL! Semper Fidelis and RIP My Brother!)
