Nice guy - we were a great garbage pit search team
Was William,s head corpsman in Mike Company - 3/26 Marines. Spent many a nights on platooon ambushes and on the hill together. We got desperate for food one time and teamed up to search Hill 881's garbage pit. The 'SAD' thing is that he was killed while at the Khe Sahn Airstrip waiting a plane to land and take us to the rear/ safety. We had heavy incoming hitting the air strip and he and the 1st Sargent were under a tank waiting it out. A shell hit right under the tank and killed them both. When going there to render first aid, there was nothing that could be done. He was a good - brave person. I think of him often.

You, Sir, Have Not, Been Forgotten! href="http://www.geocities.com/rememberance004">http://www.geocities.com/rememberance004

I had, the opportunity to visit, The Vietnam Memorial Wall. I was so overwhelmed, with sorrow and pain, that I could not hold back the tears, for those heroes and their families, who lost so much. Though my visit, to the Wall was a few years ago, I feel, that I left a piece, of my heart there. To honor those, who died in the Vietnam, War and to say thank you, I created a small tribute, to those heroes. Please click, on the link above, to view, my website.
