I was born years after my uncle left this earth. He is my fathers step brother. I have had the privilege of seeing the Vietnam wall with his name on it and haveing a moment of silence with tears streaming down my face because I never got to meet him. I pray that he is in heaven waiting to wrap his arms around everyone in his family as they go through the pearly gates.

You, Are Never Forgotten
In Remembrance, of this Young Soldier, with a Multitude, of Thanks, for his Courage, Service and Dedication, to our Country and for Freedom. Rest well and know, that you will, NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. I'am the sister, of such a young hero, who made the Supreme Sacrifice, in Vietnam, 1967.... "THEY SHALL, NOT GROW OLD, AS WE, THAT ARE LEFT, GROW OLD; AGE SHALL NOT, WEARY THEM, NOR THE YEARS, CONDEMN. AT THE GOING DOWN, OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING, WE WILL, REMEMBER THEM. John was my Mother's cousin.
John was taken before I was born, so regretfully, I never met him. He was my Mother's cousin. People used to think that John and my Mom, Cindy, were brother and sister, they looked so much alike. She says he was a good kid and very handsome he was missed terribly by his entire family. He will not be forgotten, not even by this distant cousin he never met.
