remembering
Although we have never met, I feel a great honor to wear a bracelet with your name. I wasn't old enough to enlist until 2 years after the withdrawl. Several times each year, i dedicate time for you. In my own way, I pay homage to you and what you have given for my freedom. I trust that someday you will be brought home. Until that day comes, I will wear the bracelet in your honor and memory. I was not a marine but i am a West Virginian and understand the true meaning of Semper Fi. I will remember you!

Just read the book "The Last Battle" by Ralph Wetterhahn. You were one of the last U.S.Marines left behind (later confirmed KIA) re: the Mayaguez incident at the end of the Vietnam War. I will never forget your sacrifice for this great American nation. God bless you and rest in peace.

To those who give all
I have told many people about danny. I never knew him but I know what he did for this country. I know that what he did and many others did was not for glory or for fame. It was for the man next to him. Many people dont think that war is about the people your with but it is. You fight for the man or woman next to you. The person that you knoe everthing about. You fight to protect your friend your brother. Most will never understand, only those who have servied in the millitery truel know what I speak about. I have had the honor to wear a Danny's mia braclet for eight years. I lost the original one and felt that part of myself was lost also. I now have a new one that I wear every day,and will always wear evry day.

A grateful American
YOU are not forgotten
Stopping by to say thank YOU for YOUR service & sacrifice to our country. Unfortunately, 600+ American Heroes have paid the same price in Iraq & Afghanistan, no thanks to G.W.Bush. Rest in peace Danny, YOU earned it.

I joined the Army in 1976 and it was was shocked that three brave souls born in 1957 (as I was) were killed. As a fellow West Virginian (Logan County) "Mountaineer Are Always Free" and as soldier and lastly as an American I honor your service to your countrymen that can never repaid with anything that is mortal. May God grant Private Danny G. Marshall eternal peace in His glorious presence. Thank You so much!

A Hero Never Forgotten
Today (11/10/05 )i attended a Veterans Tribute conducted by the student body at Williamstown High School. This ceromony took place in the very same gym where years ago Danny and I both wrestled and did all the things a person does in High School. While sitting there today listening to all the tributes coming from other vets my mind drifted back to this fine American Hero. I have never forgotten you, Danny. During my own military career ( 1974-1986 ) i used to mention your name and your memory to other military folks that i encountered. I have listed your name on countless tributes across the land while being involved with veterans business like the American Legion, Veterans Day events, etc. I was not a speaker for todays event, i would have mentioned you had i been one. I just moved back to the Mid Ohio Valley this past July (2005) after being away for over 30 years. I am proud to honor your memory.and i am proud to have known you. This city should be proud in honoring you as well. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, and i salute you for that, and i salute you for your military service as well. You left behind people who loved you.and i am sure that they have never forgotten you.nor will they ever. God Bless You Danny
