its me again..i wanted to wish you a happy 57th birthday...you are bieing thought of today...wondering what you would of become in your life.. you never got the chance...you are forever 18...i hope you are having a party up there.....i wrote to your sister and my so did my dad, but we havn't heard back yet it would be nice if she could respond to my dad it took alot for him to write he loves you alot clarence you both bonded in those short months he has never forgot you...i recently saw 2 pictures of you (the only two he has) but in both your face is not clear..i wish i could see how hansome you really are....i will be going to the wall in dc soon to see you and all the other heros...i plan on seeing you in jacsonville too.

MY DAD SHARED THAT NIGHT OF HORROR, BUT RELIVES IT EVERY YEAR BECAUSE HE MADE IT OUT AND LOST HIS BEST BUD. EVERY YEAR HE HAS A COUPLE DRINKS TO EASE HIS MIND BUT HE ALWAYS PUT A DRINK OUT FOR YOU HE NEVER DRANK IT EITHER IT WAS YOURS. I NEVER ASKED MY DAD MUCH ABOUT THIS DAY I DIDNT WANT BRING IT UP. HE HAS TOLD MY MOM ABOUT IT AND SHE SHARED WITH ME THE STORY AND YOUR FRIENDSHIP. I CAN'T IMAGINE BEING THAT YOUNG AND GOING THROUGH ALL THAT YOU GUYS DID. Let me tell you why I am writing on your tribute page. We have never met. Your fellow Marines now have a gathering place called The Few. I wont try to explain how Marines from all over the world can connect and correspond because you wouldnt believe if I told you. Things have changed so much since you left us. I wish that you were here to see the world as it is now. We are still having wars, people are still not getting along but the world is still turning. A lot of good things are happening too. You Vietnam Veterans, both those who made it and those who didnt, have finally gotten the respect, thanks and honor that you so rightly deserved. You died a hero my Marine brother.
