I had the distinct honor of meeting your Mom at a recent VVA memorial in which she was a guest speaker. Willie, your Mom has done so very much to honor your sacrifice. It is with great respect that I salute you Marine. You gave your life so that myself and others could go on to reap the freedom we so tightly embrace in America & the free world. And I salute your Mom, Dorothy Oxendine for her dedicating her life to the brotherhood, her hard work and leadership as a Gold Star Mother. You would be very, very proud.
