A MAN I NEVER MET
This man I never met has lived in my heart for 28 years. I don't know what he looked like, how many kids he had, if he was a good husband & father, but this much I do know he gave the ultimate sacrifice-his life- for me and everyone in this country. That's all I really need to know. I was only 15 when I got this circle of silver on my wrist, with a mans name, and the date he was missing. I thought I would die with it still on my wrist, nver knowing what became of him. Now after all these years, I know, and now I'll STILL go to my grave bearing his name on my wrist, in honor of this man I never met! Godspeed Capt. Sherman.

I have never forgotten your name
I was in high school in the 1970s when I wore his MIA bracelet. Although it somehow was lost many years later, I have never forgotten his name and always wondered his fate.
