Janet Wilkins janetwilkins5@aol.com Charlotte Hall, MD I too have read Rumors of War, and have placed Sgt. Sullivan and all other Vietnam Veterans into my thoughts, prayers, and in my heart. Living close to Washington,D.C.,I visited the Vietnam Memorial to pay respects, and to make a rubbing of Sgt. Sullivans name. After reading the book, I have a greater understanding and respect for the men and women who served in Vietnam. God Bless every last one of you, and the ones who have yet to make it home. Kelly Bridenstine kelly-bridenstine@uiowa.edu 603 Nelson Street West Liberty, IA 52776 USA God Bless you I am now reading A Rumor of War and I am getting a good sense of what these men went through. My brother was killed in Vietnam in August of 1965 and was a friend of Hugh Sullivan. I have been in contact with his wife and will be meeting her this summer at the reunion in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She sent me pictures of my brother and her husband and I will cherish them always. I can't put in to words what I feel for these fine men who gave their young lives. You are not forgotten for a moment. Tuesday, May 07, 2002 |
