Today, Derrick joined his Dad. Just as the wings of angels carried Robert to Gods hands they will carry Derrick to be with both of his fathers. The one thing that must be said is that today the wind beneath our wings has left us. Thanks Derrick for all you have done for your Family,Team mates, Fans and the City of Kansas City. We miss you so bad it hurts. All of our love goes out to the Family while they deal with their tragic loss. I swear from this point on I will Buckle up and hopefully my family will have me for a long time. So they especially thank you Derrick.

HONORING your memory on your birthday for the day you made the SUPREME SACRIFICE on December 18th 1972. Robert was among many brave Americans killed, wounded and taken prisoner during what was called the "Christmas Bombing" campaign in December 1972, it was part of the "madman theory" Nixon and Kissinger thought up to force North Vietnam back to the Peace Talks which were stalled at the time. Shortly thereafter the U.S. and North Vietnam completed a treaty which gave us "Peace with Honor". Robert, you are not forgotten nor shall you ever bee.
