May the World Find Peace...
I too have treasured my MIA/POW bracelet since the early 1970's. I wore it proudly and with such hope for many years. It's bent, tattered & tarnished now,and has been tucked away for many years.I have thought about Col.Richard Walsh III many times & hoped that he had returned safely. When "The Wall" came to be, I avoided looking...afraid to see if his name was there. I came across the bracelet yesterday & decided it was time...Time to know what happened to "my" MIA/POW, time to hope for resolution for the families, time for PEACE AND AN END TO ALL WARS. Col.Walsh, your sacrifice will not be forgotten...nor will you.

I purchased Col.Walsh's bracelet in the early 70's and wore the bracelet for many years. I watched with special interest as some of the POWs were released. I kept waiting for him to be in one of the groups and was saddened when he wasn't. I came across his bracelet recently. I have kept it, these many years, with my special keepsakes. I've also shared the significance of the bracelet with my two sons. It is a piece of history. Today, I visited the traveling Wall and spoke to a Vietnam Veteran who advised me to come to the internet to search for Col.Walsh. Today, I found out what happened to him. There is now some closure to my unanswered questions, since I have wondered all of these years what happened to him. He hasn't been forgotten. His family is in my prayers. I know they continue to be so proud of him. As with Robyn Kalams's entry, should the family want to have his bracelet, feel free to e-mail me. It would be a special ending to an almost 30 search. I would be glad to send it to you. I am submitting this entry: February 5, 2000

You're not forgotten.
I didn't konw this man but was connected to him for these past years and today, I found out what happened. I still have his bracelet and unless someone in his family wants it, it will always remind me of someone who believed in something and went the whole way for their belief.
