"If you are able, save them a place, inside of you and save one backward glance, when you are leaving, for the places they can no longer go. Be not ashamed to say, you loved them, though you may, or may not have always. Take what they have left and what they have taught you, with their dying and keep it with your own. And in that time, when men decide and feel safe, to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace, those gentle heroes, you left behind. "Major, Michael Davis O'Donnell, 1, January 1970, Dak To, Vietnam." America, has been built on the blood, of Heros and Brave Men of Honor. A fellow Veteran thanks, this American Hero for his Bravery, His Service to Country, and for the Ultimate Sacrifice he has made. “A fellow veteran, wants to thank this hero, for his service and my cherised freedoms. May you rest well, in Gods loving embrace, brave hero and may God bring comfort, to your loved ones, for their sacrifice. You shall never be forgotten, by a grateful nation."

Remembered This Christmas
THANKS, FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE, I DID NOT KNOW YOU MY DEAR FRIEND, BUT I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU, FOR YOUR SERVICE AND YOUR SACRIFICE. OUR WAR WAS VERY UNPOPULAR, JUST AS THE ONE WE ARE IN NOW. HOWEVER, YOU SENT A MESSAGE THEN TO OUR ENEMIES, THAT IS STILL BEING SENT, BY OUR WONDERFUL SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN. THAT MESSAGE IS, THAT THERE ARE THOSE, WHO WILL SERVE AND MAKE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE, IF NEEDED, TO PROTECT OUR LAND. THANKS AGAIN, TO YOU, MY BROTHER AND TO YOUR FAMILY AND LOVED ONES, FOR THEIR SACRIFICE IN LOSING YOU. YOU, ARE NOT FORGOTTEN. REST IN PEACE.

i wore a pow., bracelet, with his name
la paz, b.c.s., mexico
i too, wore lt. col., charles brownlee's, pow/mia., bracelet, as a young girl. around, about 1978, i lost it, while tubing down a river, near san marcos, texas, but his name has, been forever etched, into my memory. some years ago, the moving wall, came, to austin, tx. and i was able, to locate his name, on the wall. i was heart broken, that he had not returned, home and now, that i see, when he was lost, i will never, look at christmas, quite, the same way. May he and all, of the other, brave souls, lost there, rest in peace.

I wore his bracelet
I too wore Col. Brownlee's bracelet in the early 70's. My father was in the military and stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia. I was in Fifth grade at the time and wore his bracelet for several years. I always wondered about him and prayed about him often. My father served in Vietnam for two tours. My family was fortunant that my father returned home safetly but the war still hurts him to this day. I often wondered about Col. Braownlee's family. I was never sure about what actually happened to him, until today. If his family would like my bracelet, I would be honored to give it to them. My prayers go out to them.
