David Friedman I knew Artie Alterwisher very briefly in 1965 when he was the supervisor for my Hearld Statesman home delivery route in Yonkers. He was only six yearsl older than me. I recall reading of his death in that same newspaper in 1966. I've never forgotten his name. I've been watching the final episodes of China Beach on the History Channel which is what led me to search for an Internet database of the names on the Vietnam Memorial Wall. I had no idea today was Artie's birthday. I'm glad I was guided to this page on this day. Tuesday, September 04, 2001 |
