Marcia O'Connor nosasongor3@yahoo.com classmate in high school A special Sacrifice John and I went to the same high school and as we are planning to celebrate the combined class reunions of the classes of 1965 and 1966, I was researching the students who have died since our graduation. John's sacrifice was a heroic gift to our country's fight for justice and freedom all over the globe. I am proud to have known him as a fellow classmate, and appreciate his selflessness. MSGT., Charles Stebbins cesmanchu@aol.com A Vietnam Vet., of the Manchus, 4/9 12, Federal St., Ext., Agawam, MA., 01001, USA All gave some - some gave all I know, not this soldier, but have, seen many die in combat, in the Korean, war and two, tours, in Vietnam. One, of the fallen, was my brother, killed in action, at age 19, so young. Most all, who died, in action, was young and knew not what life, was about. If you, keep talking, about a lost, soldier and remember all, the good times with him, then he is not dead, in your heart. God be, with you and all, the fallen heros. Charlie Manchu, 4th, battalion, 9th, Infantry regiment. Saturday, October 15, 2005 |
